PSALMS 51:5 Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me.
INCLINATION TO SIN
GENESIS 8:21 When the LORD smelled the pleasing aroma, He said in His heart, "Never again will I curse the ground because of man, even though every inclination of his heart is evil from his youth.
SIN SEPARATES US FROM GOD
ISAIAH 59:2 ...But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear.
Isaiah 64:6 Each of us has become like something unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all wither like a leaf, and our iniquities carry us away like the wind.
SIN LEADS TO SPIRITUAL DEATH
EZEKIEL 18:20 The one who sins is the one who will die.
EXODUS 32:33 The Lord replied ..., “Whoever has sinned against me I will blot out of my Book."
THE MESSIAH TOOK OUR SIN
ISAIAH 53:5-6 But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. All of us like sheep have gone astray, Each of us has turned to his own way; but the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him.
TO SAVE US FROM SPIRITUAL DEATH
HOSEA 13:14 I will deliver this people from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death.
Where, O death, are your plagues?
Where, O grave, is your destruction?
PSALMS 86:13 I will praise you, Lord my God, with all my heart; I will glorify your name forever. For great is your love toward me; you have delivered me from the depths, from the realm of the dead.
BECAUSE HE LOVES US
PSALMS 86:5 For You, O Lord, are kind and forgiving, rich in loving devotion to all who call on You.
PSALMS 85:2 You forgave the iniquity of Your people; You covered all their sin.
ISAIAH 43:25 I, yes I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake and remembers your sins no more.
PSALMS 32:1 Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered!
AND GODS HOLY SPIRIT WILL LIVE IN US
EZEKIEL 36:26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.
EZEKIEL 37:14 I will put my Spirit in you and you will live, and I will settle you in your own land. Then you will know that I the LORD have spoken, and I have done it, declares the LORD.'"
ISAIAH 59:21 "As for Me, this is My covenant with them," says the LORD. "My Spirit who is on you, and My words that I have put in your mouth, will not depart from your mouth, from the mouths of your children, or from the mouths of your children's children, from now on and forevermore," says the LORD.
EZEKIEL 36:27 And I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes and to carefully observe My ordinances.
PSALM 25:11 For the sake of Your name, O LORD, forgive my iniquity, for it is great.
Prayer of Salvation
Dear Father,
I confess … I have sinned against you, and the penalty for sin is death.
Your Son paid the penalty for my sin, when He died and shed His blood so that I may be cleansed.
Forgive me, for all the sins I have done against you and forgive me for hurting others. I also forgive everyone who has hurt and sinned against me.
Please come into my life, change me
and be my LORD and SAVIOR.
